Review the policy
Pick the runtime or event trigger, confirm which systems are affected and set the shutdown order. At this stage, MayaUPS sends no shutdown command at all.

Automatic shutdown can save your systems in a long outage. A bad trigger or a wrong order can also take them down for nothing. So MayaUPS makes you review and test the policy before it will act on its own.
Test it with nothing switched off
The test exercises the trigger, the targets, the order and the communication path without shutting down a single UPS or host. Read the result, fix what needs fixing, run it again.
Enable automatic shutdown
After a clean test, arm the approved policy. MayaUPS can use SNMP-SET for supported UPS equipment and an authenticated agent to shut hosts down in order.
Windows and Linux hosts
The host agent shuts configured Windows and Linux systems down in the order you set. Mutual TLS authenticates the link between MayaUPS and the agent.
Records and alerts
Policy and action history sit alongside user roles, backups, system logs and grouped email alerts, so you can show what was configured and what actually happened during an event.
